Archeological methods
Archaeological research at Sboryanovo involves the implementation of new methods of archaeological investigation, as well as a wide range of interdisciplinary methods. These include geophysics, geoarchaeology, airial survey and photogrammetry, archaeoastronomy, archaeobotany, anthropology, etc. Various archaeometric techniques are used to understand, for instance, the diet of the ancient inhabitants of Sboryanovo, how they used the stone quaries, lead resources, the pigments they used to paint the tombs.
