Settlements and a mound
from the early Middle Ages
Apocrypha tell about the Bulgarian Stomogilie - this is what they called the Sboryanovo area with its numerous mounds during the medieval era. The presense of City of trust, another medieval settlement not far from Ginina's mound, as well as a mound with ritually broken vessels from the 9th century, confirms the importance of the area for the proto-Bulgarians during the time of the First Bulgarian State.
